Nancy Marcus Newman is a 2016 graduate of the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Training Program. Nancy now participates in the creation and execution of exterior large scale Mural Arts in addition to privately commissioned interior Murals she has been creating for homes and businesses since 1990.

The Lighthouse was created for The Historical Site of the first Salvation Army established in the United States in 1879, soon to open as The Early Literacy Academy, located at 1601 N. 4th Street in the New Kensington section of Philadelphia, within the American Street Empowerment Zone.
